Richard Snyder is the president and founder of Snyder's Environmental Service Inc., which specializes in residential and commercial septic tank cleaning and repair and offers full service drain cleaning. Since startup in 1989 in the business, equipment has been upgraded to best and latest on the market.

Cleaning your septic tank is just like changing the oil in your car. Sure, your car can run for 50,000 miles without an oil change but if you change it every 3,000 like you're supposed to, the engine will last a much longer time. The septic tank acts as a filter for your finger system, catching the solids such as; grease, paper, and other products. The baffles inside the tank direct the flow and capture the solids, not allowing them to float out of the tank and clog up the system and the soil. Thus, this buildup must be removed every so often so that you can get 30 to 50 years out of your system.

It is an association that promotes the the public safety and awareness of onsite disposal systems for residential and commercial setups and prides itself in recognizing only the distinguished individuals who pass the test (literally) to become a member. Along with the national organization, NAWT, the National Association of Wastewater Transporters, which strives to improve all aspects of the onsite wastewater treatment industry.
