Grease Trap Services

We perform full service on dozens of different grease traps, ranging in size from a full gallons to several thousand gallons. We clean the grease traps, which includes scraping the walls and removing the baffles (on the smaller ones) to remove all the grease. At Snyder's, the cleaning is set up on a certain time basis, whether it be quarterly, monthly or yearly; we can make the schedule work for you!

We can also make any grease trap accessible. In our line up of tools, we have a 55 gallon Conde portable vacuum, speecifically designed to fit through most doorways to clean out any grease trap. We can also string hoses off of one of the trucks to reach a grease trap, whichever can work for us.

A grease trap is in the simplest essence, a septic tank for a kitchen. The water flows in which the soluable grease and as the water rises, the grease floats to the top trapped in the trap by the baffles. The grease cools and then solidifies and creates a heavy scum on the surface. Most traps are undersized for the flow, and the scum will eventually get out and into the drains. But in order to protect against this, cleaning will cut down on the buildup on down the line. There are several products which contain anerobic bacteria that can help break down FOG's (fats, oils, and greases).
