Richard Snyder is the president and founder of Snyder's Environmental Service Inc., which specializes in residential and commercial septic tank cleaning and repair and offers full service drain cleaning. Since startup in 1987, our equipment has been upgraded to the best and latest on the market.
We started cleaning commercial grease traps and branched into the drain cleaning business. Our business continues to grow because of our honest and professional service. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and treating every job as if we were doing it for ourselves.

Cleaning your septic tank is just like changing the oil in your car. Sure, your car can run for 50,000 miles without an oil change but if you change it every 3,000 miles like you're supposed to, the engine will last a much longer time. The septic tank acts as a filter for your finger system, catching the solids such as grease, paper, and other products. The baffles inside the tank direct the flow and capture the solids, not allowing them to float out of the tank and clog up the system and the soil. Thus, this buildup must be removed every so often so that you can get 30 to 50 years out of your system.
Snyder's Environmental Service is a member of IOWPA, Indiana Onsite Wastewater Professionals Association. It is an association that promotes the public safety and awareness of onsite disposal systems for residential and commercial setups and prides itself in recognizing only the distinguished individuals who pass the test (literally) to become a member. We also belong to the national organization NAWT, the National Association of Wastewater Transporters, which strives to improve all aspects of the onsite wastewater treatment industry.
